November 2006 - President's Report
 |
Dear friends,
Mission To Missionaries enjoyed a great year in 2006 with
significant developments on various fronts.
Our vision to build a retreat center for missionaries continued to
move forward. In April, we witnessed the historic work of
contractors building the new Phase 1A road. Now completed, this
road gives us a footprint on our property and a place from which
to conduct further work. |
Volunteers cleared
the entrance bluff area, providing a great first impression
for visitors and laying the ground work for the future main
entrance waterfall. In 2007, the new road will be extended to the
top of the property and planning will begin on utilities work.
As a tribute to our financial supporters, the Phase 1A road was
named Foundation Partner Drive. Foundation Partners
believed in this ministry when it was nothing more than a dream.
It is fitting that we acknowledge their significant contribution
through this tangible recognition.
In August, the Foundation Partner
program was replaced by the Mission Possible capital campaign.
The campaign is seeking to raise $300,000 over the next five
years. Combined with grants and time-share sales, the campaign
will pave the way for the construction of the retreat center. |

New Hymns & Worship CD |
In September, we released our latest project from Epanoui Music.
Hymns & Worship is the first installment of a two-album project
with classical guitarist Daniel Dossmann. The CD
features traditional hymns and worship instrumental music along
with some of Daniel’s compositions. Hymns & Worship can be
purchased through the
new secure online form on our
website.
As a new ministry to missionaries, we are now offering free CDs
to missionaries who would like to send them to supporters,
family, and friends for Christmas. Please contact us for details
about this offer.
As 2006 comes to a close and we look
forward to new strides in 2007, I would like to challenge each of
you to become involved with Mission To Missionaries. You
may consider:
-
Joining one of
our task oriented teams (marketing, finance, or property
development).
-
Committing to
praying for Mission To Missionaries.
-
Participating
financially via the Mission Possible campaign.
-
Volunteering to
work on our property during a planned work weekend.

As I look back to the
last eight years, it is humbling and exciting to realize how far the
Lord has brought us as a ministry. By all standards, we are still a
young and small ministry. Yet the Lord has given us a big vision
and we have clearly seen His guidance as we have worked toward it.
In a few years, there will come a momentous day when we officially
welcome the first missionaries to our retreat center! What an exciting
day that will be! As we move toward this tangible goal, I am
personally thankful to those of you who are making all this possible
through your encouragement, hands-on work, financial support, and
prayers.
Thank you for standing with us!
Oliver Dossmann
