Site of "the first hundred" cleared

During the last couple of years we
have taken visitors to the site of the retreat center and often
said "here you have to imagine..." Now, after the
good work of contractors with heavy machinery, less
imagination is required! The newly cleared area
reveals the surrounding view and the landscape of what will
become the hub of the retreat center.
Approximately eight acres have been cleared and sanitation
field surveys are underway. The next step will be to clear the
debris with bulldozers and to seed grass throughout the area.

The retreat center's first phase of development is called "the
first hundred" because it will provide the facilities to welcome
100 families a year. The site will include five missionary
guest homes, an office & activities building, a picnic pavilion,
and numerous land improvements including scenic overlooks, trails,
and roads. If you are a developer, an architect, or a civil
engineer, we would love to hear from you! We are seeking
to assemble a team of experts from various fields to help us plan
the layout of the various buildings for the site. Please
